Born and raised in the suburbs of Syracuse, NY. Now with a family of my own, my path has led me to the small town of Mexico, NY - about 45 miles north of where I spent my childhood and young adulthood. During my time in the Syracuse area though, I was involved in many sports, with wrestling being my first love in the sports world. It was at the age of 4 that I started wrestling and basically wrestled until the age of 16, then I decided I wanted to start working and making my own money. I also played baseball since about the same young age. But again, that lasted until about 16 years of age. I'm also a musician, primarily a drummer, and have been doing that since I could walk. And it's still a very important part of my life. I was involved in the highschool marching band, which I would not consider a sport but definitely consider it physically demanding. So I have always been a very active young man and fitness & staying in shape was a thing that just came natural to me, but still something I'd always be thinking about.
At around 19 years old, I moved out of my parents home and into an apartment complex where I had access to the gym there 24/7. I had experience lifting weights when I was involved in wrestling, but wanted to see how far I could take it. I didn't know ANYTHING about proper nutrition, but I had fun lifting and learning the basics. Fast forward a few years, I had met my wife, and a few years after that we would welcome our first son into the world when I was 25 years old. I had started working a lot to provide more than before, so lifting and fitness had left my mind completely for some time...for over 5 years. The summer before our second son was born, something bothered me enough in the mirror to ignite motivation. I was feeling sluggish, tired, lazy...just not myself. So I started lifting again. And learning EVERYTHING I could about body recomposition, different diets, proper nutrition, biomechanics, and more. But most of all, what was going to work for me. I was older, my body didn't react the same way to certain foods as it had in the past. Joints had wear and tear, chronic back and hip problems, soon followed by shoulder issues. But learning about nutrition and proper posture & technique with lifting interested me.
I love helping and guiding people to their goals. That's the passion I've grown into over the years. There's a lot of false information about lifting and nutrition in the digital world and I'm looking to be a light in the darkness. I hope to reach as many of you as possible and if you have any questions, please reach out to me!
